I chose the title of the blog for two reasons:
- As a young adult (and pastor) I began to notice a strong desire to connect with the Anabaptist Tradition. A journey of learning & discovery eventually resulted in a move from the Reformed to the Anabaptist-Mennonite tradition. For me “Mennonite Road” is a metaphor for the path I travel now: being formed as part of this faith community, embracing the richness of other traditions, and meeting amazing new people on this path.
- “Mennonite Road” is also an actual road near my home. The road is a reminder of our local history, surrounded by a changing landscape. It’s a new and more diverse place. Yet the opportunity to demonstrate peace and hope remains.
I use this space to present reflections on spiritual formation and theology from an Anabaptist perspective that I am still new to. Your reflections & comments are welcome. This kind of conversation can be a wonderful formational exercise, and your viewpoint is valued and appreciated.
